Locked security containers
We provide portable locking security containers in 64- or 95-gallon capacities which can be placed in convenient locations throughout your facility for collection of confidential documents.
We also will collect documents from your own copy paper-size cardboard boxes, which can be recycled or returned to you for reuse.
Secure destruction process
Insert your confidential documents into one of our tamperproof, locked security containers. For your convenience, there’s no need to remove paperclips, staples, or tabs from your documents. Nor do you need to remove documents from file folders or separate and sort different types and colors of papers.
A CDDR driver and assistant, both uniformed and displaying photo identification, go to each container location in your facility and exchange empty containers for the ones containing your confidential documents. All of our employees are cleared for security through extensive background checks and are periodically drug tested.
Containers are loaded into one of our totally enclosed trucks, which is then locked and driven directly to our secure processing plant. Only authorized personnel are allowed in this facility, where access is controlled by security badges.
Your containers are offloaded by the driver and plant personnel, logged in, then weighed on platform scales that are inspected and certified by the Monroe Country Department of Weights and Measures.
Containers are unlocked for the first time then loaded onto hydraulic tippers along with containers from other customers. This intermingling of containers from multiple customers further “disguises” documents and adds another layer of security to the destruction process.
Documents are placed onto a conveyer belt and fed into our powerful 125 HP AmeriShred shredder, which shreds paper beyond reconstruction
The shredded, commingled paper moves down another conveyer and is fed into a baler, which produces extremely dense bales weighing from 1,800 to 2,000 pounds.
Finished bales are then shipped via secure tractor-trailer to a re-pulping mill for recycling into low-grade paper products. This step provides added security, conserves natural resources, and helps reduce the strain on our landfills.
Non-paper items are destroyed and taken to waste-to-energy incinerators.
You are invited to witness the destruction process in our plant or in the comfort of your office via a secure online link to our ShredCam.
A Certificate of Destruction is issued to certify the time and date your materials were destroyed and provide you with a custodial audit trail for your documents.
